One of the best things about living in Thailand – at least the time when I lived there late 2005-2009 – is that we had a Relief Society study group. I remember studying the Book of Mormon and Jesus the Christ. We took turns teaching, but all came to the meetings humble enough to share and learn.

It was a spiritual meeting. One in which I learned to appreciate all of my friends – their insights, experiences, and preparation. We grew as sisters in the knowledge of this great and marvelous work Jesus is performing on the earth. We learned of our place in His work, and we practiced being a part of a more celestial society. No one ever talked bad about anyone. We all supported each other in our role as teacher and student.

This was a unique experience for me, and truly helped me to love my fellow sisters as disciples of Christ.
