Isn’t it amazing that when we pray we have the EAR of God?
In the Bible Jesus taught us to pray, and He has asked us to pray always. Heavenly Father is always there for us, and our simple act of prayer puts us in the presence of His divine influence.

Elder Jeffery R Holland spoke about the blessings of prayer in his epic talk Motions of a Hidden Fire in April 2024. He said:
“We should pray individually, in our families, and in congregations of all sizes. We are to employ prayer as a shield against temptation, and if there be any time we feel not to pray, we can be sure that hesitancy does not come from God, who yearns to communicate with His children at any and all times. Indeed, some efforts to keep us from praying come directly from the adversary.”

Things happen to us throughout the minutes, hours, days and weeks of our lives. Even if we pray often, it is easy to come under the influence of negative or unworthy thoughts, unkind people, and unfortunate events. If we don’t have the Lord in our hearts, we could be influenced to make choices that lead to unhappiness for ourselves and our families.
Sometimes we don’t even know what we should pray for. At these times when we just feel the world pressing in on us and we want to feel our Father’s comfort, Elder Holland encourages us.:
When we don’t know how or exactly for what to pray, we should begin, and continue, until the Holy Spirit guides us into the prayer we should be offering.
Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants to help us return to Him.
