Just the speakers for District Conference read like a United Nation roster. Our District President is British, District RS President is German, Mission Leaders are USA, and a Larnaka Branch Counselor is African.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Ephesians 2:19-20
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is what unites us. With all eyes focused on Him we are taught and edified by the same spirit of God. A very simple message of repentance and love is kept bright through the lives of faithful disciples of Christ. It was fun to worship together with a little over 100 like-minded people at the Radisson Blue Hotel, Larnaka, Cyprus.

We had a conversation during the planning stage of this meeting. It illustrates how confusing certain forms of communication can be. Take these text for instance –.
Hello President! I was wondering if you might need a special musical number for District Conference. Sister Hofhiens played the flute & we have been practicing “He is Risen” for Easter as a piano/flute duet. We thought it would be great for District Conference if you need it?
Pres. texts: Sister, the plan is to have prelude music about 5-10 minutes before the start and then to have a musical presentation about half-way through. Elder P— plays violin really well and will be coming back to Cyprus this week. Would you play the piano for the general meeting and the leadership training meeting?
Well, we took that as a soft no. Elder P — would play. So, ever resourceful, Sister Easter and I settled for Prelude music. It was fun. We played a bunch of songs. Everything we knew.

It came as a big surprise when our District President announced that Sister Easter and I (ME) would be playing a special musical number!! We had a minute of heart palpitations. We had already played our repertoire! Then Sister Easter had an idea.
She looked to our Young Missionaries and invited them to come and sing their testimonies in a rendition of He is Risen. They sang beautifully, melodically and better than planned. Our Missionaries truly are super-heroes!

Whew!
