Unity

Most of us have been on a team where members are united by a common goal. It feels magical when a ‘play’, practiced for weeks, finally comes together at game time. There is real joy in working together.

We live in a time where diversity is more important than unity. Where special interest groups seek to separate themselves in an effort to acquire more funding and favors. As Christians we celebrate diversity but we come together in unity, knowing that all of us are children of a loving Heavenly Father.

And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness: and there was no poor among them. (Moses 7:18)

Each of us can be a unifying force in our communities, our work places, and our families. As we focus on Christ and His teachings and commandments, our lives will improve. We will become His people, even Zion.
