October is a month of birthdays and anniversaries that are super special for the Steven Hofhiens clan! We usually block up the entire month to celebrate! The fact that we’re still growing older is a wonderful gift that is not lost on us. Life is a blessing and you never know how many years you’re gonna get!
The Nicosia Branch actually has YM and they took them all camping. Since we knew the Branch President and Primary President in Nicosia, we tagged along. It was fun! And boy, are those kids active! We learned that Olive wood burns really well! Greek S’mores are just as good as American! And we learned that 11 and 12 yr old boys don’t really need 8 hours of sleep, but WE do!
The boys could not keep up with Sister Hofhiens in the laser tag! The boys loved it! Not a lot of competition but just a heck of a lot of fun! It made me think of all the fun family reunion stuff I want to do with the grandkids when we get home!
Back in Limassol there were celebrations too. The man of our little branch, Dominick Ordoñez, turned 1 and a few of the branch members showed up to celebrate in the park with their wonderful family! Many Colombian friends came to the party too. The adults played all the games and the kids got the party favors. It was fun for everyone 🙂
